What do we look for in a model?

We are looking for girls who love fashion, love our store and girls who would love the opportunity to show off a little by walking down the runway. If your daughter meets this criteria that is all we need. Please tell your daughter that this is what we're looking for, we don't particularly care what her body size is or whether or not she is "beautiful". We think every one of our customers is a rock star! Honestly, a love of fashion or at least a love of the Brussels Sprouts look is a lot more important to us. 

Please note that preference is given to current customers of the store. If you've never been in or haven't been in for a while, no worries, you can become a customer very easily by shopping with us now or when you come to apply for the show.

Why do we do it?

We view the fashion shows as an opportunity to introduce the store to new customers and to reward existing ones with an afternoon of fashion fun.

Fashion shows rock

Brussels Sprouts is the only store in Boston that professionally produces kids' fashion shows featuring customers. All of our shows are professionally conceived, designed and produced. We have produced 9 huge shows since we opened in 2004.

For our models:

• We select, style and expertly fit each outfit on models; 
• We hire live deejays
• We use special lighting and set design
• We hire the best photographers and videographers to capture the event
• All this, at absolutely no cost to our customers.
  

Yes, I want to be a model!

If you know your daughter is a fashionista, loves the spotlight and she is between the ages of 5 and 13 years old, then we invite you to become a customer of the store. Once you begin shopping with us she will be eligible to be in one of our shows.

Our show with the Boston Ballet School

Below is a poster from our March 2009 fashion show with Boston Ballet School. This cool fundraiser featured 150 models from our store and the School, and raised a nice sum for the School's Scholarship Fund.
