We love Mish Mish for its funky, urban edge, unusual embroidered effects, colorful whip stitches and more. Not to mention the cool graphics for boys and how much we love the layette. Let's find out who and what is behind this ultra cool creative work. We asked Moshe Avisar, vice president and sales manager and Vivian Reisman, president.

So tell us about your design team. Who are these people anyway? 
Mish Mish is a collection designed by very talented designers, each with a vision that compliments the others'. Together they make each new season a more exciting collection than the last.

Where do they get their inspiration?
The designers are inspired by the areas of life such as nature, music, art, and the noisy urban sensibility.

What can you tell us about the process of creating a collection?
The designers travel throughout Europe and pay attention to the themes and details on trend. They then create each group with an eye towards that particular area. Whether it is surf, music, nature, the street, or the many other themes, our designers make sure every detail, from color to motifs, patches, stitching or embellishments, all combine to create that particular feeling. The designers varied instincts blend together to create the most exciting line possible.

Tell us about Mish Mish. We know the company is in Israel. How long has it been around? Can you provide a little history?
The parent company, which is called Srigamish, was started in 1957.It was a men's and women's underwear company and the major supplier to Israeli retail chain stores, specialty stores, and Israeli army. Srigamish launched Mish Mish in 1995 and today it is one of the premier children's clothing companies of Israel.

Is the collection the same in Israel? Are there Mish Mish stores?
For the most part the collection, which is European inspired, is the same in Israel. There are always certain items that are enhanced or revised to be more acceptable to the US market, whether it be a different color, or a different theme.  Mish Mish is currently opening its' 46th concept store in Israel ,and has stores in London and New York.

What's coming in the near future? What can we look forward to in the line? Will there be any changes?
The future Mish Mish line has more boys special tees than any other season. Special washes and newer exciting graphics are on the way as well. Additionally, interesting textures continue to be at the forefront of Mish Mish, in both the boys and girls collections.
